Beautiful Nazi Mauser K98 Last Ditch Kriegsmodell 8mm Rifle, This is one of WWII Germanys Late War Production Military Rifles, The Pressure on Nazi Germanys Arms Industry was so Great in 1945 that the Mauser Plant was Authorized to Simplify the K98 Rifle in Order for the Rifles to be Produced on a Faster Basis, These Factory Simplifications Included Removing the Firing Pin Takedown Disc in the Stock and Replacing it with a simple Hole Drilled thru the Buttplate, Attaching the Front and Rear Bands to the Stock with Screws, and Removing the Bayonet Lug, This Particular Example was Manufactured by the Mauser Oberndorf Company in 1945 and has their Code Byf and 1945 Date Stamped on the Top of the Receiver, These Kriegsmodell Variation Mauser K98's were Made in very Limited Quanity and are Quite Scarce to find in Today's Collecting World, Condition of this Rifle is Outstanding with Beautfiul Original Blue Finish Overall and a Beautful Blonde Laminated Stock, It has Matching Numbers on all visible Parts Including the Bolt, The Laminated Stock still has the Waa135 Proof Mark Stamped on the side of the Buttstock, This Rifle is a Veteran Bring Back from WWII and is not a Later Import, Serial Number is 19xx3
